Three types of student's visas in the United States:
- Student’s Visa F: Used for study at accredited colleges, universities or for studying English at English language institutes.
- Exchange: Used to participate in an exchange program that includes secondary school and university studies.
- Student’s Visa M: Used for non-academic or vocational study or training in the United States.
To apply for a student visa in the United States you must first be admitted to a “SEVP” accredited school or institute. After acceptance, you will be registered in the “SEVIS” system and pay the application fee.
After that You will receive your “I-20” model from your school, after that you can then apply for the visa in the U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
Once you have been admitted to a SEVP-accredited school and have received a Form “I-20” you must complete the Online Student Visa Application Form “DS-160” model.
Continues Practical Training (CPT):
If you are enrolled in a U.S. college or university full-time for at least one full academic year, you may be eligible to apply for the CPT.
CPT is an employment that is an integral part of your major curriculum and allows you to participate in an internship, practicum or cooperative education program.
You must receive course credit for your work and must complete the CPT before graduation.
Work after graduation:
